Goal:

All students will improve the quality of their writing in all subject areas.

Intervention 1

All students will be provided teacher-directed instruction in the Six Traits + One model of writing.

Activities have included, but are not limited to, school wide writing to the prompts three times each school year.

Intervention 2

All students will be given opportunities to write in all content areas.

Activities have included, but are not limited to, writing math story problems, science experiments, history reports and musical composer’s biographies.

Intervention 3

All targeted students (teacher identified students in K-2, at risk students K-6, and Talented and Gifted students K-6) will be given additional support based upon their skills.

Activities have included, but are not limited to, technological assistance, mentors, and peer tutoring.
